Burgmeier Hauling Inc is a locally owned and operated waste disposal company. Burgmeier Recycling, Burgmeier Roll Off and Burgmeier Shredding are divisions of Burgmeier Hauling Inc. Dave Burgmeier is CEO, President and Sole Shareholder of Burgmeier Hauling. Burgmeier Hauling was acquired by Mr. Burgmeier in 1976 as a 1 truck, 1 man operation. 33 years later, Burgmeier Hauling is a full service waste disposal company operating 44 trucks, employing 85 people and operating in 6 counties (Blair, Bedford, Cambria, Somerset, Huntingdon and Centre). Our services include Residential, Commercial (dumpster), Roll off (industrial), Recycling and Mobile on-site document destruction. Burgmeier Hauling has extensive recycling operations which include curbside pickup of cardboard, newspaper, magazines, office paper, aluminum, tin, glass and plastic which are then sorted and processed at our Recycling Facility for environmentally responsible after market reuse. Burgmeier Hauling is also an approved drop site by the Blair County Solid Waste Authority for additional recycling commodities such as tires, used appliances, oil and batteries.
Blair County Resource Recovery Facility (BCRRF) is Burgmeier Hauling’s sister corporation. BCRRF is one of two PA DEP state licensed transfer stations located in Blair County. A transfer station is the intermediate stop between the hauler and the landfill. Burgmeier Hauling is BCRRF’s largest customer. The original permit date of operation was a 10 year license issued in 1997. Another 10 year license renewal was granted January 2007. Logan Township is our Host Municipality. BCRRF is licensed for 24 hour a day, 7 days a week with a daily capacity of 500 tons. Dave Burgmeier is CEO, President and Sole Shareholder of BCRRF as well. BCRRF is open to the public but serves 30 other independent haulers and larger contractors.
