The YMCA of Centre County is a charitable, non-profit organization that provides opportunities to all individuals and families in the community by putting high moral values and principles into practice through facilities, programs, services and activities that build healthy spirit, mind and body. The YMCA of Centre County fully accepts diversity and promotes community development and cooperation.
Richland Performing Arts Center hosts performances ranging from school assemblies, concerts, musicals, plays, and dances, to full scale theatrical productions. It is used by the school district and is also available for outside hire. The facility has a huge fly system, comprehensive lighting rig and full sound-reinforcement system, as well as stage communications and other systems.
Well known for its quality productions, ACT has taken top honors at state and regional theatre festivals and has received national exposure as the featured theatre in STAGE DIRECTIONS, a community theatre trade magazine. As one of Blair County’s premier arts organizations, ACT remains dedicated to entertaining and enlightening the community and providing local residents with the opportunity to showcase their creative talents onstage and backstage.
