Easter Seals is currently recruiting teams to compete in the 26th Annual Office Olympix, to be held on Thursday, March 8, 2012 at the Bavarian Hall, Altoona.
Teams from local businesses throughout Blair County raise money for the opportunity to go head to head with each other in six fun office style events. Games change each year, but past teams have competed in events such as Sharpie Shoot-out, Paper Ream Golf, and the Swivel Chair Relay Race.
Medals will be awarded to the first place team in each event and trophies will be presented to the top three overall scoring teams. Special category awards for “Most Original Team Name” and “Most Original Team Outfit” will also be given out.
Registration fee to compete is $450 per team of six – that’s only $75 per player! Trophies and prizes will be awarded to the top three fundraising teams. Teams raising $750 or more will have a chance to compete in the main event to win even more prizes.
Registration starts at 5:30 p.m. and the events will begin at 6:30 p.m. Dinner and a commemorative Office Olympix t-shirt will be provided to all participants and volunteers. Money raised through Office Olympix will be used to help local children and adults with disabilities and special needs.
